Maintenance, overhauls and fault clearance

Our skilled and experienced team covers a broad spectrum of service and maintenance work on analytical measurement technology and gas quality measurement systems, such as:

  • Fault clearance service with rapid advice by telephone and assistance in resolving faults
  • Manufacturer-independent maintenance of process gas chromatographs and of various correlative, sensor-based and laser-based gas measuring instruments
  • Repairs and replacement of parts
  • Calibration and adjustment
  • Internal training with the respective manufacturers for new enquiries
  • Leak testing of the complete measuring system
  • Preparation of maintenance reports to customer specification
  • Reference measurements for dew point, sulphur and others
  • Presentation of measuring instruments for verification, including the calibration gases required
  • On-call service, on request also 24/7 standby with individually agreed response times
  • Periodic inspection and monitoring of the operating condition of gas measuring instruments as part of overhauls

State-approved testing centre

As a state-approved testing centre for gas measuring instruments, we hold authorisations in Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Hamburg, Bremen, Thuringia, Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony and Bavaria for the verification and calibration of gas quality and calorific value measuring instruments for gas, as well as for the verification and calibration of ancillary devices for gas measuring instruments.

As a state-approved testing centre for gas measuring instruments, we are also glad to carry out verification and calibration of the measuring systems on site. We coordinate this in advance with the responsible weights and measures authorities of the respective federal states.

Mobile gas quality measurement

The wide-ranging changes in the gas market – above all the increasing feed-in of new types of gas and the future expanded use of hydrogen from decentralised power-to-gas plants in the course of the energy transition – present network operators with new challenges. One consequence of this development is that gas quality will be subject to far greater fluctuation within the permissible limits of the DVGW code of practice.

So that operators can respond flexibly to fluctuating gas quality in the network, Dr. Ryll Lab GmbH provides, among other things, a mobile and cost-effective gas quality measurement system equipped with verified gas measurement technology for limited deployment periods, for validating results – for example in the context of network value calculations (such as REKO or SmartSim systems).

Use of our mobile process gas chromatograph, approved for Ex zone 1, comprises:

  • Provision of a verified mobile measuring instrument for installation (inside the building or in a trailer outside). Process gas chromatograph with measurement data registration via the Marquis K gas system
  • Integration of the system into an existing DSfG architecture
  • Read-out of the data via radio link
  • Validation measurements for REKO and SmartSim systems
  • Availability throughout Europe

We are glad to advise you on the possibilities and benefits of using our mobile process gas chromatograph.
